MARRIAGE CEREMONIES
Getting Married - you can have just the Wedding ceremony that you would like, personalised to your wishes for your very special day. I am a professionaly trained Marriage celebrant, authorised by the Attorney-General of Australia to conduct marriages.
You can have the ceremony that you would like, your choice of words, venue etc., inside or outside e.g. beach, harbour boats, gardens/parks, wedding chapel/church, restaurant, resort, underground cave weddings, mountain weddings, hot air balloon weddings etc. etc.
Please contact me for any information for the most simple of weddings up to the most grandest.
I can advise on all of the Australian legal requirements of getting married (easy to organise fom any country in the world), the wording of the ceremony - in fact anything you need to know. I do all the official paperwork, lodgement and registration of your marriage - no need to contact anyone else.
You can have a modern or more traditional style wedding ceremonny or more alternate - it is up to you! Ceremonies can incorporate: candle ceremony, spiritual, handfasting (hand tying - hence the term "tying the knot"), celtic, ring warming, wine ceremony, rose ceremony, sand ceremony, wine ceremony, unity candle ceremony etc. etc. I am also very happy to incorporate other countries' traditions e.g. Greek crowning ceremony, Phillipines veil & cord ceremony, Indian garland ceremony, Jewish customs etc. etc. You can have standard vows or write your own vows.
I also include for FREE many things (if required by you) in my ceremonies at NO extra charge - e.g. pa system, cd player, table and chair for signing (plus white table cloth and seat cover), red carpet - if you would like to walk down the aisle in style (not on beaches sorry) I can recommend all other wedding suppliers (e.g florists, musicians, singers, venues, videographers, wedding invitations, photographers, etc) to make your special day a success.
I register your marriage in the State or Territory where you are married. You sign a Marriage Certificate on the day but if changing your surname to your husband's name then you will have to apply to the appropriate Births Deaths & Marriages of that State for a registered marriage certificate. In NSW you can also apply for an attractive Commemorative Marriage Certificate which comes with a standard marriage certificate, or you can just get the standard Marriage Certificate. Baby Naming, Welcoming or Home Christening ceremonies are a modern, personalised way of formally welcoming a baby into the world. The ceremony can be for a baby or a child of any age. The Naming and Welcoming ceremonies do not have any religious content, but a Home Christening has a light religious feel, it is like a non-denominational christening, it can also be called a Baby Blessing. The ceremony includes: name candle with your child's name on it, Naming or Home Christening Certificate and certificates for godparents, grandparents and great-grandparents.
I can suggest wording for your ceremony to make it a meaningful and enjoyable ceremony. You can give the baby Godparents or Guardians or even appoint everyone at the ceremony as their Guardian family. The ceremony is also a good opportunity to thank important people in your and your child's life e.g. grandparents, special friends. SAME SEX COMMITMENT CEREMONIES - Gay and Lesbian Unions
Are you interested in a lovely personalised Commitment Ceremony, which is similar to a wedding ceremony but with a slight change of words? (Note: same sex marriage is not yet legal in Australia). You and your partner can choose the words, or I can suggest wording, and I will conduct the ceremony for you. You will be given a Certificate of Commitment which can be used for lots of things e.g. property settlement, partner ID, residency applications, partnership registration, superannuation payouts etc.
I can suggest wording for your ceremony to make it meaningful and enjoyable for both you and your guests. Couples have these ceremonies either at their home, a scenic place e.g. a park, a beach, a boat for ceremony and party, wedding chapel/church or lookout, a hotel or wherever! - it's up to you.
They are personalised ceremonies and you receive a Certificate of Commitment. Ceremonies can include other options e.g. candle ceremony, sand ceremony, butterfly release, dove release etc. You can get involved and add your own wording and ideas. A funeral ceremony should be a celebration of the person's life. If the person was not religious, then why have a religious ceremony. An authorised & fully trained Celebrant like myself can conduct the ceremony in just the way you would like. Other speakers or readers are most welcome.
